It is hard to grasp the concept of space...

As we gaze into the heavens, our cognitively limited human minds fail to comprehend just how vast and epic the universe really is:

Stars like our Sun that produce the equivalent of Earth's civilization's energy demand for the next 500,000 years – in one second.

Born in gigantic, mesmerizing interstellar clouds of dust and gas, some of which span 3000 parsec, or an airplane journey of 3 billions years.

All of which spiral around in our Milky Way of 300 billion stars; which itself is just a spec of dust, only one of hundreds of thousands of galaxies in our supercluster – blinking along to the tune of an unimaginably expansive cosmological symphony...

Though we might not truly be able to fully grasp this astronomical immensity, we can indeed wonder in awe at these extremes, just as much as we can marvel at the fascinating grace of Nature in all its vast, complex and diverse forms.

From distant colorful nebulae to the moons of our neighboring planets, the imagery of the universe may not not only inspire us with its sheer beauty, but also humbly put humanity's sense of self-importance into perspective, so that we may begin to worry less about the daily troubles which sometimes seem to dominate the tiny universes of our lives.

DarkMatter

At DarkMatter, we're an international team of astronomy aficionados, and it is our mission to share the beauty of our cosmos with a tribe of likeminded space ponderers – so they may share their passion with others in turn.

Our canvas wall art, t-shirts and accessories feature some of the most beautiful high-resolution images taken by various space agencies from telescopes around the world, orbiting our planet or roaming in the depths of space.

To ensure the highest quality products, we work with trusted producers in the US and Europe. Furthermore, we want to do our part in supporting environmentally conscious supply chains, meaning we only use water-based inks in our prints and 100% organic cotton for our t-shirts.

We're on a mission

As DarkMatter™ continues to grow, we have an increasing responsibility to commit additional resources toward our values in order to maximize the positive impact of our products. We have long held the conviction that we can be both a great business and a great corporate citizen. In fact, we believe we cannot be one without the other.

Corporate social responsibility is cemented in DarkMatter's DNA because our people believe deeply in making the world a better place.
